I worked at a movie theater when Groundhog Day came out. Showtimes were staggered a bit, but they all started about the same time. After which there’s not much to do, so that’s when you’d take breaks. Mostly I’d go sit in on a flick for about 15 minutes, meaning I’d tend to see the same 15 minutes of each movie multiple times. My experience of Groundhog Day was pretty meta in retrospect.
